    COLLECTING WORDS

Students are told to collect words on a given subject. These words can be cut out from newspapers or magazines and pasted on a sheet of paper. Words that are in Hebrew have to be translated into English.

The student who collects the longest list within a given time limit and is able to read the words to the class, is the winner.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERs

Organization:

The class is divided into two teams. The teacher prepares two sets of cards - one with questions and one with answers. Give the teams enough time to read the cards before the activity begins.

Procedure:

Each team gets half the questions and half of the answers. A representative from the team asks the other team a question. The second team must find the answer amongst those in their possession and read it to the class.

For every correct answer, the team scores a point. For an incorrect answer a point is deducted. The correct answer is not given to the class at this point of time. (They will learn by eliminating answers they know and by making intelligent guesses.)
