Why play games?

One of the biggest problems when working on a project or on the internet in the computer room is that some of the pupils finish earlier than others. If you have some of these games installed on the computer then you have solved the problem - the pupils who have finished the assignment can play a game in two - individually or in pairs.

Weak learners find it difficult to concentrate on one task for very long. These games provide a nice break while allowing the pupil to continue learning English.

Purim? End of semester? End of year? Feel like a fun lesson in the computer room? Let the pupils play English games. Set up different games on different computers and have the pupils rotate to different stations - this will save a lot of technical difficulties and allow for better classroom management.

General suggestion: ask your computer techinician at school to set these games up in a seperate program folder in windows called "English Games" and tell your pupils that they may only play the games in that folder.

Have fun! You can play too!
