Dear Southern REEDers.

Due to circumstances beyond my control, the course for Performance Based Tasks that I am presenting in Beer Sheva will take place in Beit Yetziv, rather than as announced earlier.

Beit Yetziv is at 79 Rehov Atzmaut (I am told that it is the Beer Sheva campus for Open University). It will be in classroom #8.  Phone numbers for Beit Yetziv are: 627-7444 / 627-1490 / 627-0666.

Reminder: The course is a 28 hour course designed by Matach (CET). Participation in this course is the requirement for a school's receiving the Ministry of Education's official Bank of Performance Tasks. The course will take place on every other Monday (beginning this week - Nov. 15th ) from 16:00 - until 19:15.

See you then!

Dear REEDers and bagrut teachers in particular

The ministry has labelled the NBA courses as top priority and at some stage
ALL bagrut teachers will have to have this course "in their pocket."  At
present, teachers who wish to mark bagrut papers must be able to prove that they have done the course and this is just the beginning.

The course to be held at the Pisgah in Qiryat Malachi is willing to accept
more participants. BAGRUT teachers in that area are requested to make this
professional step and join this course. For more details please contact -
Rachel Dahan 08-8501234  or Einat Levi - 050-7657403

After having received a number of emails asking me to check personal names on the database, I decided to clarify on REED.

I cannot possibly check each teacher individually to see if you are signed on the database - this is an impossible task within the time framework of one hadracha day.

We realise that there could have been technical problems while some of you signed up and will therefore publish a list of names that are not on the database and give thsoe names a few days to submit their info again
BUT the more names missing, the more time it will take for us to submit the list for ktavei minui

So please - if you have not signed the database THIS YEAR (since September 2004) - please do so as requested by tomorrow. Doing the shibutz is a huge mission and we need your cooperation in order to survive the ordeal.

Gail

Dear REEDers

Only 456 teachers have signed the database
http://www.kfar-olami.org.il/projects/up2reed/

We are now in the process of sending your information to the ministry in order for you to receive your ktav minui to test the oral bagrut

Those of you who have NOT signed the database will not be able to receive a ktav minui as we do not have your details to submit

PLEASE check with your colleagues and remind them (and yourselves) to sign up on the database IMMEDIATELY (unless you don't want to be paid or insured for testing the oral bagrut) http://www.kfar-olami.org.il/projects/up2reed/

Message from Adele

Dear REED Coordinators or contact people,

The following school have still not sent me the information I requested for my database.  I am posting usernames and passwords to enable all of the southern schools under my jurisdiction access to our virtual environment, which will put us all in touch and "shrink the distances" in the Negev. Unless you are on my database, you will NOT be informed! I do not even know the names of some of the coordinators for the schools who have not responded yet!

If you are the coordinator of one of these schools, please send me the names and emails of all of your teachers TODAY!
If you happen to be the contact person for REED and see that your school is included in this list, please pass the message on to your coordinator ASAP.
Any information regarding meetings for the south- be it for coordinators or for new teachers needing guidance, will be posted by email and the site I am building (NOT REED!).  If you are not on my database, you will NOT know about all of the things that are happening.  For a taste of things to come, I am in the process of planning a coordinators' meeting, as well as get togethers for new teachers (under 2 years in the field) who need help.

Schools for which I have NO information:

Beer Tuvia
Eyanot
Habsor (Carla - I have only yours and Mal's info- please send the rest)
Kedma
Kfar Sliver
Mevuot Hanegev (I have some information but not all - who is the coordinator there?)
Or Yami Ashdod
Sa'ad Hevrat Noar
Sdot Negev (Azata Banot)
Sdot Negev (Ulpana Tsvia)
Shafir / shapir? (who is the coordinator? Is it Dov?)
Tsafit
Yad Benyamin
Now, considering the fact that I have 25 schools altogether, more than half have not yet responded (I have been asking for this information for a few weeks now)!  Your loss guys!  We are beginning to work, and you will not be included, so.... be there or be square, as they say!  Get those emails in to me ASAP, please.

 All the best,

Adele
